World Mythology

This is a theory that states for every individual who writes a story, that same individual has to develop a specific mythology and belief structure for the world the writing inhabits. For many, the mythology is a straight or near-close adaptation of the mythologies used in the real world (e.g. not fiction) and follows the logical beliefs and structures found in every day life. However, in situations where fantastic elements or magical realism, or where an author must make exception to the standard real world mythology, then those changes have to develop into an adaptation of or known rejection from the known reality and mythology people currently inhabit.
